Costume Fittings at Sandersons Blackburn
Instead of trying to squeeze all costume fittings on a Sunday like we have done previously, we are going to spread these out and slot them in over various Friday evenings either side of class. We will post in the group if we need any groups to arrive early or stay a bit later on any of the weeks.

To take part in the show, attendance to all of these diary dates is compulsory and we reserve the right to withdraw a dancers’ place in the show for not attending.

School Year 1 & 2 – Friday 4.45-5.30pm
School Year 3 & 4 – Friday 5.30-6.15pm
School Year 5 & 6 – Friday 6.15-7.00pm
School Year 7 & 8 – Friday 7.00-7.45pm
School Year 9 Upwards – Friday 7.45-8.30pm
Latin Teams
School Year 3 Upwards (3 groups) – Saturday 1.30-2.00pm
School Year 9 upwards – Friday 8.30-9.00pm

CLASS FEES
The class fees for each team will be £5.00 per 45 min session or £4.50 per 30 min session. This will be payable on a monthly block and will be due on the first session of each calendar month. This can be booked via our website bookings calendar anytime from the 24th of the previous month. A £5 administration fee will be added if the monthly payment has been missed.
Once a dancer has joined a team, all calendar months must be paid for regardless of attendance.
COSTUME & ADDITIONAL REHEARSAL FEES
In addition to the class fees, there will also be a £50 (per person, per team) fee that will be due by Sunday 28th April 2024. This will cover main costume pieces and all additional rehearsal fees listed at the top of this page. Please note that this fee is only for Showcase & Latin Teams.
Discounts will be offered for those taking part in multiple teams as follows
1 team – £50
2 teams – £80
3 teams – £90
There will also be an instalment option of £10 for anyone that wishes to keep paying off the total in smaller amounts over the course of the year.
This payment can be made via our website bookings calendar under the date given above.
Please also put aside a small budget of approximately £15-20 for additional costume items that we may ask you to provide yourself. i.e. footwear, tights, accessories. It may end up that you don’t need to provide anything,but please budget just in case.
BALLET, STREET & ACRO TEAMS
The show is predominantly made up of dances performed by our Showcase & Latin Teams. We do however also invite some of our Ballet, Street & Acro groups to take part.

Ballet Groups
£50 fee which includes:
6 hours of studio rehearsal time (Emily to confirm times)
Slot at full dress rehearsal (Sunday 28th April)
1 hour at stage rehearsal (Sunday 19th May)
Costume Hire
Street Teams
£15 fee which includes
2 hours of studio rehearsal time (Kira to confirm times)
Slot at full dress rehearsal (Sunday 28th April)
1 hour at stage rehearsal (Sunday 19th May)
Acro Team
£15 fee which includes
2 hours of studio rehearsal time (Kira to confirm times)
Slot at full dress rehearsal (Sunday 28th April)
1 hour at stage rehearsal (Sunday 19th May)
Fees due by Sunday 28th April (Payable on normal class calendar)

ATTENDANCE
We expect a minimum 80% attendance rate to each of our classes. So that gives each dancer approximately 7 sessions over the year where they might miss due to illness, holidays or other special occasions.
Lack of attendance to sessions not only affects the dancer themselves, but also other dancers that share formation patterns with them so good attendance is crucial.
We reserve the right to cut dancers from sections of choreography that aren’t up to standard due to lack of attendance to their classes.
LATIN & BALLROOM TEAM REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for participating in a Latin or Ballroom team, the dancer must take part in a weekly technique class or private lesson in that style of dance.
These dancers must also take an assessment in those styles twice per year (July & December) to be eligible to maintain their place in their team.
Once a dancer reaches the point where they leave school (end of GCSE year), the requirement for the above technique class & assessment will no longer be compulsory. However, continued technical training is highly recommended, especially for those with less experience in those styles.
